Our relationship with the desert is intimate. We live under the cool blanket of stars at night and traverse the sandy ground daily in hot sunlight. Sites, sounds and scents are absorbed, and our reflexes acknowledge the uniqueness of engagement.

Luther Broome is a native Californian, born in Los Angeles. He received both a BFA and an MFA from the Otis Art Institute of Art and Design, with a specific focus of Painting and Design. As a college instructor of over twenty years, he has taught various Fine Arts courses that include Drawing, Painting and Art History. He has maintained an active gallery presence at various places with his art work since 1972, and the work has been collected by art patrons throughout the United States. Luther’s life-long interest in music led to the acquisition of analogue recording equipment and sound experimentation.
